Twisted #4
Twisted Lies Synopsis
He’ll do
anything to have her…including lie.
Charming, deadly, and
smart enough to hide it, Christian Harper is a monster dressed in the perfectly
tailored suits of a gentleman.
He has little use for
morals and even less use for love, but he can’t deny the strange pull he feels
toward the woman living just one floor below him.
She’s the object of
his darkest desires, the only puzzle he can’t solve. And when the opportunity
to get closer to her arises, he breaks his own rules to offer her a deal she
can’t refuse.
Every monster has
their weakness. She’s his.
His obsession.
His addiction.
His only exception.
**
Sweet, shy, and
introverted despite her social media fame, Stella Alonso is a romantic who
keeps her heart in a cage.
Between her two jobs,
she has little time or desire for a relationship.
But when a threat from
her past drives her into the arms—and house—of the most dangerous man she’s
ever met, she’s tempted to let herself feel something for the first time in a
long time.
Because despite
Christian’s cold nature, he makes her feel everything when she’s with him.
Passionate.
Protected.
Truly wanted
Theirs is a love twisted with secrets and tainted by lies…and when the truths are finally revealed, they could shatter everything.
“Once upon a time, I hadn’t believed in love. Now, I realized that love was the last piece that’d been missing in the puzzle of my life. With it, I was finally whole.”
READ- TWISTED LOVE
― Ana Huang, Twisted Lies
Welcome back to the enthralling
world of the Twisted Series, dear readers! As we enter the last part,
"Twisted Lies," brace yourself for a heart-pounding voyage through a
maze of secrets, suspense, and shocking truths. As we follow our beloved characters
through a web of twisted lies that threatens to ruin their lives utterly, the
stakes have never been higher. In this blog post, we'll give you a sneak
glimpse at the thrilling end of the Twisted Series, when every hidden truth and
dark secret is revealed. So, buckle up, because "Twisted Lies"
promises an exciting finale.
The start- Twisted Lies
In the Twisted series, we delve
into the lives of a tight-knit group of friends, with each book focusing on the
journey of one woman within the group. In this installment, it was Stella's
turn to take the spotlight, and having admired her character in the previous
books, I couldn't wait to dive in.
The relationship between
Christian and Stella had already been introduced in a prior book, but now, we
finally get to witness their story unfold. Christian Harper is undeniably a
complex and dangerous individual, but his intense fixation on Stella will
reshape everything we thought we knew about him.
The middle- Twisted Lies
Stella, an introverted social
media influencer, has remained an enigmatic figure throughout the series. I
couldn't contain my anticipation to finally unravel her character. Christian,
on the other hand, is a billionaire who happens to be Rhys's former employer
and best friend. Right from the outset, it's evident that Christian harbors a
deep protective instinct toward Stella, despite their limited interactions. He
extends generous gestures like reducing her rent, which he further decreases
when Jules moves out.
The narrative swiftly
transitions from their initial status as strangers to a façade of a fake
relationship, replete with mutual benefits (non-sexual). During this
progression, we witness Stella's nurturing side, juxtaposed with the return of
her stalker, and Christian steps in to offer her refuge by letting her stay at
his place.
Christian's character undeniably
shines, with his intellect and dangerous demeanor, yet, when it comes to
Stella, he drops his guard and reveals a whole different side of himself.
The end- Twisted Lies
As the first half of the novel
comes to a close, Stella and Christian's relationship transcends the domain of
her social media presence, becoming an authentic and palpable link. They take
their relationship to the next level after their trip to Hawaii and begin
dating. However, just when everything appears to be going swimmingly, Stella
finds a web of deceit and catches a glimpse of Christian's darker side.
There are noticeable improvements in Stella's family dynamics. However, just as things appear to be improving for her, her stalker reappears, putting her in danger. Christian saves her in a heroic effort, and they reconcile.
While the plot may appear to be
somewhat predictable, it is nevertheless a pleasant read. The Twisted series' ending,
in particular, gave the most satisfying reading experience. Each member of the
friends group has gone through their own struggles, and seeing their collective
happiness and newfound families was a joyful and gratifying experience for
readers.
