Loki Season 2 Episode 1 Review : Time does seem to exist in TVA after all

Loki Season 2: Time does seem to exist in TVA after all.

Loki, our beloved God of Mischief, returns in season 2 on Disney+.

In Loki's previous season, we met Sylvie, commonly known as Lady Loki, and He Who Remains. He Who Remains exposes the truth about the multiverse to Sylvie and Loki at the end of time in the last episode. On the other hand, Sylvie does not believe a single word the mystery guy behind the TVA said. She eventually kills He Who Remains and sends Loki back in time via a time door.

Loki Season 2 Review

Loki Season 2, Episode 1 Review

Loki Season 2 begins up right where Season 1 left off. Loki is taken back in time, reconnecting with Mobius and Hunter B-15, who first fail to recognize him. As Loki travels through time, he ultimately comes across a version of Mobius who recognizes him.

Mobius takes Loki to the TVA's lone engineer, Ouroboros (played by Ke Huy Quan). Loki's condition is diagnosed as Time-Slipping by OB. Mobius and Ouroboros are initially skeptical of the presence of time within the TVA, but Ouroboros finally devises a gadget that could potentially help Loki.

That's essentially a recap of Loki's life since the events of Avengers: Endgame. In this season of Loki, there are some new additions to the cast, including Ke Huy Quan as Ouroboros. It was quite enjoyable to witness the exchange between OB and Mobius, as OB is thrilled to see Mobius again, even though Mobius hardly remembers their brief encounter from 400 years ago.

Loki stands out as the sole Marvel Cinematic Universe live-action series to receive a second season. It holds significant relevance within the entire MCU, as it essentially initiated the concept of the multiverse, which subsequently impacted various events, such as those portrayed in Marvel Studios' "What If...?" and how a mishap with a spell in "No Way Home" introduced villains from different universes into the MCU. Additionally, it shed light on how Doctor Strange's "Multiverse of Madness" was not as chaotic as it might have seemed.

Marvel's Loki has always been an enjoyable character, and Season 1 received a lot of love when it premiered two years ago. It's exciting to wonder what Marvel has in store for Loki next and how he will work alongside his friend Morbius to save the Multiverse. But for now, his primary task is to locate Sylvie.
